Mother, wife, sister, friend, writer / blogger / creative organizer, budding photographer... These are just a few of the many hats I juggle each day. I believe creativity is oxygen for the soul. I created Live In Color blog to celebrate the beauty in every moment, from faith to inspiration and motherhood. And it is soon becoming Pray with Our Feet blog which will focus on the intersection of faith and activism. Music and warm weather are oxygen to these two bloggers. So when we heard about EMP Collective’s music series, we decided to shout it to the rooftops, okay, maybe just to our readers; you get the point. We’re a little behind in letting you know about it; please forgive us.

The series is a summer kick off event featuring experimental music (first performance on June 14), and “playful pop-makers.”

Come out (307 W. Baltimore St.) on June 27 from 8pm-11pm, and hear live performances from Challenger, Dwight Howard Johnson, the Great American Canyon Band, and Infinite Honey (sliding scale fee of $5-$10).

Doors open at 7pm and folks are encouraged to arrive early to check out Personal Space, EMP’s June gallery show featuring work by UMBC’s IMDA Graduate students including: Lexie Mountain, Micheal Farley, Kristen Anchor, Jason Hughes, and more.
